Farming/Vinification: The Sarnin-Berrux estateis located in the town of Saint-Romain and specializes in the production of only natural wines. Starting in 2007 with only white wine production, Jean-Pascal Sarnin and Jean-Marie Berrou, who founded the company, have expanded their range and now produce about 15,000 bottles of white and red wines annually. Jean-Pascal Sarnin was one of the leading brokers on the Paris stock exchange, but wanting to be closer to his family, he gave up his financial career and moved to Saint-Romain, where he became involved in wine production in a village of only about 250 people. His partner Marie Berrou, until 1999, was engaged in the advertising business and was very successful in this, however, having met a winemaker in Arbois, Berrou fell in love with wine, quit his career in the advertising field, graduated from a wine school and worked for 8 years at a winery in Saint-Romain ... Then Berru got acquainted with Sarnin, and this is how the Sarnin-Berrux farm appeared.

The grapes are grown in various locations throughout Burgundy. Harvesting is done by hand, the grapes are delivered to the winery in special perforated boxes. Particular attention is paid to the fast transportation of grapes. Vinification is carried out in amphoras, special clay jugs, which is reflected in the name of the wine. Each key stage of vinification is carried out in accordance with the lunar calendar without the addition of sulfur, artificial yeast and sulfites. The wine is bottled without pasting and filtration, with a minimum addition of sulfur.

Notes: Full and expressive with a fresh acidity. Hints of red berries, spice and animal tones.
